In the third edition of the ‘World’s Best Banks’ list, DBS bank has topped the list with respect of Indian banks. Out of 30 domestic and international banks operating in India, DBS Bank has won consecutively for the  second time. Along with partnership with the market research firm Statista, Forbes compiled the list. In the List SBI stood at the 7th position despite being the country’s top public sector lender whereas Private lenders ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank are placed at number 3 and 4 respectively while Kotak Mahindra Bank stood at the  fifth position whereas Axis Bank was at number 6.

Over 43,000 banking customers across the globe were surveyed in order to rank the banks in the list. The criteria was based on their current and former banking relationships. Key attributes like trust, fees, digital services and financial advice played a major role in determining a bank’s satisfaction level in the eyes of the customers.

Forbes in an Official Announcement stated , “This year’s list includes a record number of award winners, reflecting consumers’ increasing confidence in their banks”.
