Today, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ordered all the airlines, not to book tickets beyond May 3,2020. He also informed that a separate announcement would be made on starting again with the flights.

The airlines had started booking tickets after May 3,2020 assuming that airlines would be allowed after as soon as the lockdown gets over.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that we have not still come up with the direction which would permit restarting of airlines. It has been observed that airlines had started booking tickeys for passengers. It must be noted that government has yet not come up with any plan of starting off the airlines again. Therefore, all airlines must refrain from booking the tickets.

The DGCA also said that airlines would be notifies soon from hewn to start. Airlines shall be provided with proper guidelines and time to start with the services.

On Thursday, the government also asked the airlines to refund the money of passengers who had booked their tickets from  April 14,2020-May 3,2020.

To stop the spread of coronavirus, Narendra Modi had put the entire country on lockdown.
