Flipkart starts accepting mobile phone orders; to ship starting 20th April

Lockdown has extended till May 3 and also in some places the government has imposed seal down. To help people to get their daily needs the government has allowed E-commerce sites to deliver things with some rules and regulations.

Earlier, Flipkart was taking orders for essential products only, like groceries, personal hygiene, etc. Now, it will deliver mobile phone orders from April 20.

This will be great news for those who are desperately waiting to buy a new smartphone. The service is available throughout the country except for West Bengal and Karnataka. One can place the orders form Flipkart site but keep in mind that delivery of your orders will be from 20th April. The Flipkart will have to follow the guidelines issued by the central government and act according to that. This service is available only in selected areas so check whether it is available in your locality by entering pin code on the website.

Government issues a statement that says, “Digital economy is critical to the services sector and is important for national growth. Accordingly, e-commerce operations, operations of IT and IT-enabled services, data and call centers for government activities, and online teaching and distance learning are all permitted activities now”.

Xiaomi and Realme also started to accept orders

Apart from Flipkart, Xiaomi and Realme have also announced that they have started taking orders on their respective websites. As of now Xiaomi is taking only prepaid orders and cash on delivery option is not available. Moreover, Xiaomi has said deliveries of the ordered products will be possible once the lockdown is lifted. Realme has also mentioned on its website regarding orders and says that it has already started accepting orders for phones.

As of now, Amazon is only delivering essential goods and has not announced any plans of delivering smartphones after April 20.

Paytm Mall and Sanpdeal have also resumed their delivery of smartphones. You can place orders from Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Amazon, and Snapdeal. However, deliveries will take longer than usual to reach you.
