Petroleum Ministry has decided to revise the petrol, diesel prices daily from 16 June. To manage the daily changing petrol, diesel prices India’s largest fuel retailer IndianOil has announced the launch of the mobile app.
To see updated prices of petrol, diesel in all the cities, Fuel@IOC can be checked once daily. They can also crosscheck the prices in their respective cities by sending an SMS, ‘RSP DEALER CODE’, to 92249-92249. Several steps have been taken by the company to ensure that every petrol pump displays the dealer code. So that customers can check the prices easily and without any problem.
The Company will provide extensive training to the dealers and their staffs. The daily revision of prices would allow better inventory management by both the oil companies and the dealers. This would prevent the decline or surge in purchasing pattern.
IndianOil said in a statement “The issue thus raised by dealers’ associations on inventory losses consequent to reduction in prices and the concerns on retaining large inventory gains during price increase would no longer be relevant”.
