Bosch Siemens will reduce the prices of washing machine and fridge by 7-8 % with effect immediately. Owing to the GST benefits received on selected items and goods.
‘Further to this reduction on essential home appliances, we’re happy to announce that BSH Household Appliances will be passing on the full benefit to the end consumer under its brands Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances,’ said Gunjan Srivastava, managing director and chief executive officer, BSH Household Appliances. ‘There has been a substantial drop in prices of about 7-8 percent, well ahead of the festive season, which is expected to spur growth and boost demand’, he emphasized.
The GST Council in its previous meeting reduced the number of items in the 28% slab and bought them under 18% slab. As many as 17 items were slashed from 28% to 18%. General use items like air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, TV fell were provided this benefit.
BSH partnership with Amazon
In mid-July, BSH Household Appliances partnered with Amazon to launch its 6.5kg Asian Top Loader washing machine and microwave exclusively on Prime Day with Amazon India.

About BSH Household Appliances
Bosch entered the Indian markets in 2011 through BSH Household Appliances Private Ltd. They sell domestic appliances that include washing machines, washer dryers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and built-in cooking appliances.
The growth rate of Bosch stood at 30-35% in FY18 and Mr.Gunjan plans to continue that in the current fiscal too.
Samsung, Panasonic and Godrej Appliances are expected to follow suit.
