IDC appoints Amit Malhotra as Managing Director for IDC India and South Asia

International Data Corporation has appointed Amit Malhotra as Managing Director for IDC India and South Asia.

Research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has today announced the appointment of Amit Malhotra as Managing Director for IDC India and South Asia, effective immediately.

Amit will be based out of IDC India headquarters at New Delhi. He comes to IDC from Seclore where he was serving as Vice President of Sales.

Commenting on his appointment, Amit Malhotra said:

I am excited to join IDC, especially at a time when the Indian ICT market is going through a transformative phase. With my prior experience in local and global ICT markets, I look forward to working with IDC’s young and committed team to drive the future growth story.

According to IDC, Amit Malhotra was responsible for establishing and expanding the nascent EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model) market for India and the Middle East. Eva Au, Managing Director – IDC Asia Pacific, said,

India represents one of the fastest growing markets for IDC and is destined to be one largest country operations in Asia Pacific. Amit’s experience across multiple technology areas and his international connections will take IDC India to much greater heights and achievements.

Prior to working at Seclore, Amit also worked at Oracle and Hewlett Packard and has over 20 years of experience and knowledge of the information and communication technology (ICT) industry.
