On May 23, Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri said that a good percentage of International Flights will be made possible to restart their flight operations before August by India. Hardeep Singh Puri’s comment came after 3 days, an announcement was made by the government to allow domestic flights to resume their flight operation from May 25.
All Flight Operations, domestic and international were suspended in India after the March 25 announcement of Prime Minister Modi to put the world’s most stringent Nationwide Lockdown in India to contain the spread of Covid-19 Pandemic. Aviation Industry and Airlines businesses suffered heavily because of the decision as their complete business operation came to a halt. If their international flight operations after domestic flight operations are allowed, it would be a great relief to them.
Hardeep Singh Puri said that he would want International Flights operations to resume their flight operations earlier if he had to decide between the month of August and September. Though a date was not confirmed as to when International Flights may resume its International travel services for passengers.
