India’s largest life insurance company, LIC has revised its online portal services. The online portal of LIC will now feature a new user interface (UI) and an improved navigation. Also, the corporation has made changes in the previous URL and has announced a new address, https://ebiz.licindia.in through which customers can access various online services provided by the LIC.
Those policyholders who want to avail such type of online service have to first submit their PAN or Aadhaar number in addition to other such as policy number, date of birth, etc. The policyholders can enrol policies purchased in their own name or even those bought in the name of their spouses and children. But it is recommended that the policies other than self or in the name of a minor should be registered separately with different user Ids.
Through the online portal, one can do online payments towards any renewal premium through net banking, debit card, credit card etc. Also, they can view the policy schedule, the policy status, sum assured, date of commencement etc. In the new version, the premium due calendar has come upfront showing the details of premiums due during the year on month wise basis.
Besides the policyholders can view the premium paid certificate for each policy separately and in a consolidated form. In addition, the online portal also provides the facility to register a complaint or a grievance with the insurer. The access to various forms related to maturity or death claims is also available once the policyholder logs on to the portal.
