Glyd, a tech based e-mobility service was launched by Mahindra & MAhindra (M&M) on the selected routes of Mumbai. For the new project Mahindra has deployed 10 new Mahindra e-Verito electric sedans. Mahindra along with this has also launched an android and iOS application for the booking of the cabs through the mobile.
The new cab service is slightly different from the other cab services like Ola and Uber Currently operating in the Indian market. While Ola and Uber are operating as E-taxi, this new cab service has a specific focus on the office going employees.That’s why the new cars is also costumed with facilities like web-conferencing, curated entertainment and music content. The cars will also be equipped with a privacy screen, air purifier, strain free lighting, bolstered seats, wraparound headrests and armrests.
For this new venture Glyd has partnered with Vodafone-idea Limited and Cisco system limited.Currently Ola is the market leader in the ride hailing services but Glyd is first of its kind.
