Maharashtra’s State Industries Minister, Subhash Desai said on May 30 that labourers (migrant) who have gone to their respective home states amid Covid-19 Pandemic and Lockdown will be required to register themselves on returning back to the State. 

In his statement, he said, “Labourers have returned to their home states just with their clothes. They may come back after some time. At present we have enough labour force to supply to our industries. But if the labourers from other states return, they will need to register their names here”.

He also made a visit to a special hospital for Covid-19 Patients which is being set-up at Chikalthana and a testing laboratory which is being set up at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. He said, “The laboratory will also study how COVID warriors can be saved from getting infected while serving coronavirus patients”. Also, he ordered to set up fever clinics in required areas, as per the information by a district official.
