Mr. Narendra Modi, India’s Prime Minister will be the chair of a meeting comprising of the heads of all the top state-run enterprises which be held next month so as to make a strategy for the functioning as well as role of CPSEs in order to realize the mission of New India. Officials which are a part of the Department of Public Enterprises said that the prime minister is going to preside over the conclave which will be held on 9th April. The theme for the same will be ‘redefining the role and functioning of CPSEs’ to help realize the New India Vision of 2022.

Presentations will be made before the prime minister by the PSU chiefs on topics related to corporate governance, innovation, finance, HR, and many more including how these can be leveraged to improve the state-owned enterprise’s efficiency so that their contribution in building the nation can be increased. A senior government official further said that the deliberations in the conclave will lead to an actionable roadmap being formulated so that he target of New India 2022 can be achieved.

The official also said that all the top officials from the PSUs including Indian Oil Corporation, GAIL (India) Limited, and NTPC will be making thematic presentations in front of the prime minister. Sources also have it that apart from all this, there will be presentations on the corporate governance by energy efficiency services limited and people first: human resources management by National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation as well.
