Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange will remain closed on September 20, 2018, due to Muharram.

Apart from this, all wholesale commodity market inclusive of metals and bullion will have no trading today. Forex and commodity futures markets will also be shut said a report from Moneycontrol 

In the Wednesday trade, Sensex and Nifty both ended lower extending losses for the third consecutive day. BSE Sensex dropped 169 points or 0.45 per cent to close at 37,121 whereas Nifty fell 44.50 points or 0.39% to close at 11234.40.

Trade this week has been volatile so far with market witnessing a falling currency with a fresh low of 72.94 against a dollar. Investors risked a lot of money against government’s measure to contain fuel price hike and recover rupee.

Although, many analysts believed that government’s measures were inadequate and too late to stabilize market conditions.
