As per the recently tabulated Economic Survey of Delhi,  Delhiite are the richest people in the country as the Per Capita Income of Delhiits was found three times higher than the national average. The survey pegged the income at 3,65,529 per year, which is much higher then the national average of 1,25,397 per year.

While the state Gross domestic product(SGDP) was at 7.79 lakh crore, taking a jump of 12.98% over 2017-18. While calculated in the real terms the growth in the state domestic product was about 8.61%. The survey was tabled in the Delhi Assembly by the deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia.

During the last fiscal, Delhi government’s first priority was education with about 27% of the total money allocated in the education sector. This was expected as AAP government has vehemently told many times that education is its first and foremost priority. This was followed by 16.67% allocation for the Social security and Welfare. Public Health and Housing and Urban development received 14.81% and 14.12% respectively.

The report showed a positive increase in the forest cover in the Delhi region, it expanded to 305.41 square km in 2017 from 299.77 square Km in 2015.“Delhi’s green cover has increased from around 20.2 per cent (of total area) during 2015 to 20.6 per cent during 2017,” read survey.

Apart from this, the Survey also gave some positive data regarding the Power supply and power consumption of the Delhi.The number of power consumers in Delhi was 57.55 lakh in 2017-18, which has increased by 71.92 per cent during past decade. Along with this an increase in supply was also reported which increased from 37,484 million units in 2014-15 to 38,510 million units in 2017-18.
