Apple iCloud

Apple’s iCloud storage will be costlier in India with the due effect of Goods and Services Tax(GST). The company will soon be doing the price revision, which will be effective from August 21. The change is encountered due to the new tax on electronic services.

After GST implementation, the 50GB iCloud will now cost ₹75 per month instead of ₹65 earlier. Similarly, the 2TB iCloud will now be priced at ₹750 per month, up from ₹650. While the monthly subscription cost of 200GB iCloud storage tier will now be available at ₹220 instead of earlier, ₹190.

Apparently, at this time Apple India’s website, as well as in-app iCloud options are still showing the old storage plans. While it is not clear that, there are any changes in the Apple Music plans in India or not. Currently, Apple Music individual and family subscriptions in India cost ₹120 and ₹190 per month respectively.

The price revision of different iCloud tiers comes a month after Apple refurbished the iCloud lineup at WWDC to introduce new and more price-sensitive storage tiers.
