Puneet Chhatwal has been elected as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Hotels, one of the biggest hospitality brands of the country. Puneet is currently chief executive at Deutsche Hospitality and along with that, he is serving on the board of Steigenberger Hotels AG.

In a regulatory filing to BSE, the company made this announcement public. The statement stated that the board of directors of Indian Hotels held their meeting on Tuesday. The meeting agreed on the name of Puneet Chhatwal to be its new managing director and Chief Executive Officer. According to the statement, Chhatwal will replace Rakesh Sarna, who has submitted his resignation and will be leaving the position on September 30th, 2017.

The Indian Hotels company is owned by Tata Group and runs a number of hotels across the world including the hotels under Taj brand.
