Indian airline SpiceJet announced on Tuesday its new feature that will allow travellers to book cabs in the middle of the flight. The service would be felicitated through the airline’s official website, app as well as in-flight entertainment platform SpiceScreen. For booking via SpiceScreen, passengers can avail 10% discount on fares.

No cancellation fee would be charged if the passenger is unable to board the cab due to any reason.

The airline shared in a tweet, “Tired of cab bookings always cancelling on you? We have a solution for that. Have your cab ready upon arrival with Mid-Air Cab bookings with #SpiceJet! Book on http://spicejet.com or download the app now.”

Although the service right now is only available in the Delhi airport, several other airports would soon be brought under coverage. Busy cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Goa and Ahmedabad will be brought under the umbrella in a phased manner.
To book a cab during the flight, the passenger can connect to SpiceScreen on their mobile and go to the CAB section on the homepage. Fares can be checked on the booking page which are usually fixed per unit distance.

The statement added that the new website is designed to facilitate quick changes, making fast introduction of new products and offers to the customers.

“The new website will also allow passengers to check and compare seven days lowest fares on our enhanced flight selection page with additional filter options,” the airline stated.
