Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) stands at the top position among the companies who saw an increment in their market values calculated last week before May 23. The current market valuation of TCS is Rs 7,57,587.71 crore. TCS market value grew by Rs 47,148.71 crore to its present market valuation of Rs 7,57,587.71 crore. The high increase in the market value of TCS from its previous value is the biggest among the top ten companies with regard to their increase in market value.

The three big companies from the top ten list Bharti Airtel, Infosys, ITC along with TCS saw an increment in their market values  cumulatively worth Rs 1,12,121.1 crore. The leading Indian software company Infosys saw an increment of Rs 17,014.67 crore in its market value which now worth Rs 2,94,828.76 crore. ITC’s past market capitalisation has now an additional value of Rs 26,735.6 crore and now its current market value is Rs 2,29,065.73 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market value also increased by Rs 21,222.12 crore to its current market value of Rs 3,23,514.55 crore.

While other big companies like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, RIL, HUL have cumulatively lost Rs 98,890 crore from their previous market values. The Market capitalisation of HDFC Bank decreased by Rs 27,035.85 crore to reach Rs 4,60,048.03 crore and that of ICICI Bank decreased to Rs 1,88,541.97 crore by Rs 20,358.82 crore. Kotak Mahindra Bank’s market value also plunged by Rs 3,278.07 crore to reach Rs 2,22,049.15 crore.

During last week before May 23, Sensex has gone down by 1.36 per cent. And even Reliance saw a decrease of Rs 17,306.57 crore in its market capitalisation which is now just worth Rs 9,07,548.99 crore. Though RIL still stands at Number one position on the list of Top 10 firms having the highest Market Capitalisation followed by TCS.
