Xiaomi has expanded its Express Delivery service by announcing that it will now provide ‘Guaranteed Next-Day Delivery’ in 150 Indian cities for Rs 49. The orders need to be placed by 3 pm to receive guaranteed next-day delivery service.

“Xiaomi says if the product is not delivered on the promised date, it will refund the delivery charges.“

This ‘Next-Day Delivery’ option will be available on weekdays till Friday. However, public holidays and weekends would not be covered in the offer. Additionally, users can’t avail the service while exchanging products. It is only applicable if a consumer orders any new Xiaomi product within the above-mentioned time limit of a weekday. The faster delivery option will be available soon and Xiaomi has further promised a refund of the charges for Express Delivery if the product doesn’t arrive on time.

Apart from selling its products on Flipkart, Amazon, and Mi Home stores offline, Chinese giant Xiaomi also has its own Mi.com e-commerce platform that, according to the brand, is the third biggest e-commerce platform in India currently. Xiaomi, with this announcement, is clearly trying to compete with its retail partners Amazon and Flipkart. The two e-commerce websites have been offering quick delivery options through Amazon Prime and Flipkart Plus memberships.

Last year we saw Xiaomi also partnering with Smartbox to start providing deliveries for orders made through Mi.com and Mi Store app via automated parcel terminals in India. The Noida-based company is claimed to have its delivery terminals strategically located various locations, including metro stations, residential complexes, and office areas around the country, to offer faster delivery of goods.
