From December 1, 2020, onwards, the IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2020 has been started by Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. On Day 1, the first cluster summer placement process for the Postgraduate Programme in Management (PGP) class of 2022 had around 50 top recruiters across the globe.
The firms that participated in Cluster 1 focused on four areas – investment banking and markets, management consulting, advisory consulting and private equity, venture capital, and asset management. On the first day of the placement, more than 50 students grabbed excellent offers from the top recruiters.
Bain and Company offered 20 jobs followed by The Boston Consulting group with 19 job offers. The other top recruiters in the consulting domain included regular recruiters including Alvarez and Marsal, Accenture Strategy, Arthur D Little, GEP Consulting, Auctus Advisors, Kearney, KPMG, McKinsey and Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Strategy.
Investment Banking and Markets space recruiter Edelweiss Wealth Management offered 10 jobs. The companies included Arpwood Capital, Avendus Capital, Bank of America, Citibank, Credit Suisse (Singapore and India), Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, and Nomura India.
In the PE and VC domain, firms like Blackstone, Gaja Capital, IndiaRF, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Temasek and White Oak participated. True North was the highest recruiter in the PE/VC and Asset Management cohort with four offers.
The placement process this year was held virtually due to the pandemic. For smooth conduct of the online placement process, a few digital initiatives have been implemented by the institute. Cluster 2 placement would be held on December 4 and Cluster 3 would be held on December 7, 2020.
