Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has published a notification for the recruitment of 355 Constables (General Duty) under Sports Quota. Eligible and interested candidates may apply online from 25-06-2017 to 30-07-2017.

Eligibility Criteria for SSB Recruitment-2017:
- Education Qualification: Candidates should have passed Matriculation from a recognised board. For Sports qualification, candidates must have participated in any international sports events as a member of the Indian Squad for the last one year OR players who have won medal in any National Games/ Championships recognized by Indian Olympic Association, Sports Federation for the last one year.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 23 years.
- Age Relaxation: For, SC/ST Candidates, age relaxation admissible is 10 years, for OBC candidates, age relaxation admissible is 8 years and for U/R, it is 5 years.
- Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the Bio-Metric Examination, Physical Standard Test and Documentation.
- Application Fee: For general / OBC Candidates, fee payable will be Rs. 100/- through IPO/Demand Draft/ Banker Cheque i.e. IPO should be prepared in favour of ‘Accounts Officer, FHQ, SSB, New Delhi payable at New Delhi’ & Demand Draft / Banker Cheque should be prepared in favour of Accounts Officer, FHQ, SSB, New Delhi. SC/S.T female candidates are exempted from fee payment.
