Creeping into the market only a few years ago, Portronics has made a modest name for itself in the market, merchandising routine accessories like, power-banks, portable speakers, data cables, phone docking stations and all other accessories neighboring smartphones. Looking at their cutting edge products however, it is hard to imagine how Portronics has managed to hide from stardom. From headphones to power-banks everything is sculpted with utmost uniqueness. The superior build quality of their products promises an unsurpassed feel. Like many companies Portronics as well, candidly flaunts their objective as “quality at an affordable price”. It is however uncanny that a callow enterprise like Portronics have kept their word. It is almost paradoxical to see such uncompromising quality and innovation at such a parsimonious price.
Some of the products like the Pivot magnet mobile holder, Muffs XT headphones, Harmonics 202 and 101 Bluetooth head-phones, Ruff pad, Sound-chief portable speaker are some of the many products that stand as a testament to the paramount build quality that Portronics champions.The electronic pen 3, the on the go document scanner, the Ruff pad being deceivingly futuristic stood out at first perusal.

In the race between technology and time, technology seems to be miles ahead. To keep in tune with these briskly fluctuating times, the number of smartphones, tablets and other peripheral devices per person are increasing at an alarming rate. Incidentally increasing the annoyance of ferrying the ever entangling data cables around. “Konnect 3” is Portronics’ answer to this predicament. With three output ports it makes life that much easier. Another concrete example of the 5-star build quality is the Nylon braided cables that can struggle through rugged treatment.

This technical gizmo is right out of the sci-fi movies. Though the “Ipad professional” is renowned for its capability of making notes on the go, the feel is one aspect where the exuberantly expensive ipad falls short. However, at a much economical price Portronics have introduced a gadget that captures on screen while you write on paper, essentially combining the two worlds. Coupled with the nominal price I would call this, the buy of the century.
Ruff pad
This new touch interface device though in its nascent stage, portrays the direction in which the company is heading with it. The device that is about to be launched in India shortly, can record all the scribbling you want it to. The unpolished bit of it is that the stored data cannot be transmitted to the computer in live time. Yet a modular invention and a product with unlimited applications if improved.
