Around 6 months ago Manglam Buliders of Jaipur inaugurated a new good looking mega structure near Ridhhi Sidhhi, Jaipur. This was named as Jaipur Electronic Market. With the name itself it was clear that Manglam has now targeted the top growing business of this generation, Electronics and Digital products. No doubt a its a great Idea of having a Mall in a big City like Jaipur where you will get all the Electronic and Digital products. But the question arises is Will it replace the Raisar Plaza which is currently hub of Digital and Electronic market in Jaipur? Okay forget about the replacement Can it grow enough to get recognized as second choice for respective customers?
We recently got chance to know the Mangalam’s Jaipur electronic Market from inside. When we were there Jaipur Electronic Market (JEM) was already more than 6 months old. But to our surprise most of the shops are still having no owner. But there were some good things about the mall as compared to Raisar Plaza. Lets read in detail.
Current Position of Raisar Plaza and Jaipur Electronic Market
About Raisar Plaza, ask any shopkeeper in Rajasthan who deals in mobile phones, he will surely tell you atleast half dozen of points about it. This means Raisar Plaza is not only famous in Jaipur but it has its name in the whole state. Thousands of customers daily step on the steps of Raisar Plaza. There may not be single guy of Jaipur (basically) who haven’t visited Raisar Plaza. Whenever you don’t find any solution for your digital product’s you will be recommended to move to Raisar Plaza.
On the other hand JEM by Mangalam group is still a new name for everyone and even half of people don’t have any clue about it. Dell and HP are the only two shops when it comes to some famous brand in Digital products. Moreover the office space are mostly acquired by Chartered Accountants and hence given no feel of a Electronic market.

When we look into Jaipur Electronic Market there are many things to praise about. The main reason behind this is obviously the theme on which it was constructed for. The shops are fit for almost all kind of the needs of a Electronic market. There are Kiosk, there are small size shops there are monster size shops too and more than that there are three floors dedicated to Office space. Yes, Mangalam,s Idea of keeping three floors for offices is a cool one. There are only a few building in Jaipur which have dedicated space for Small and big offices.
Coming to Raisar plaza, they do have some good space for shops and have different sizes also but somehow it is very much congested. Building lacks the feel of modern day construction and thus shops there also look like fake one. Lacks proper cleaning and other simple but useful things. But they are located in center of city which give a big advantage to them and a customer can reach them from any part of city very easily due to great transportation facilities.

- Not getting popular in the city itself.
- No big name or shops even after 6 months of opening.
- Tight competition from small Electronic markets like GT Bazar, Ganpati Plaza, Jayanti market.
- Location is not in center of city which makes a bit difficult for people to visit from other part of city.
