Flipkart is planning to take on Amazon’s Great India Festival with its own version of sale called Republic Day Sale. The sale from Flipkart will start on January 20 and will last three days concluding on January 22. Flipkart is teasing “Blockbuster deals” on mobile phones, laptops, and TVs under the sale. The sale will include rush hours and an additional discount of up to 26%. Flipkart will also offer 10% discount on purchases made through SBI cards. There will also be options for no-cost EMI and exchange offers.
The e-commerce website has already created a microsite which provides all the information about the sale and teasing offers and discounts on various popular products. The microsite states that the Republic Day Sale will bring “massive discounts’ on smartphones, up to 75% discount on TVs and appliances and up to 80% discount of consumer electronics.
The sale will also feature a dedicate rush hour on January 20 with additional discounts. Flipkart will also introduce an additional 26% discount on all three days between 2-6 pm.
The sale says to include a wide variety of products in the sale including mobile phones, laptops, TVs, and fashion products.
Furthermore, the Republic Day Sale will bring up to 70% discount on Flipkart’s own products. The sale will also include 10 percent discount on shopping worth Rs. 1,450 and 15 percent discount on shopping worth Rs. 1,950.
Flipkart is hosting the Republic Day Sale as an answer to Amazon’s Great Indian Sale(January 20 to January 23). While bot the e-commerce companies will be competing with various discounts and offers on a wide variety of products it will be good news for the customers. Both the companies will be hosting huge discounts on electric products including smartphones, laptops, cameras, and TVs, so it will be a great time for tech enthusiasts who have been wanting a product for a while but have been refraining because of the price.
