Xiaomi is slowly venturing into smart home appliances and is looking to compete with the likes of Samsung, LG, and Sony with its aggressive pricing. The company is already giving tough competition to these brands in the smartphone segment and with a step towards the home appliance, Xiaomi will be looking forward to obtaining the consumer electronics market fully.

The Mi TV 4X Pro 55-inch is priced at ₹39,999 while the Mi Tv 4A Pro 43-inch is priced at ₹22,999. The Mi Soundbar will be available via Mi.com and Mi Home stores for a price of ₹4,999.

The Mi TV 4X Pro has a 4K HDR10 resolution and uses a 10-bit color panel. The TV has narrow bezels on all sides and is made out of brushed metal in crystal grey finish. The TV is powered by 64-bit quad-core Amlogic processor coupled with  2GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. It also supports Dolby audio and DTS-HD audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and 20W speakers.

Both the TVs run on Xiaomi’s custom Patchwall UI.

Xiaomi has collaborated with a number of regional content partners like Eros Now, Alt Balaji, Zee5, SunNXT to deliver 80% of the content free. Amazon Prime will come to both the TVs by the second half of 2019. However, there is no solid information about the TVs supporting Netflix any time soon.

Apart from PatchWall UI, the TVs also run on Android TV based on Oreo 8.1 and hence get the support of Google Assitant which lets users access their favorite channels and programmes via voice commands.

The Mi Soundbar is Xiaomi’s first attempt at the home theatre front in India.
