QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 has been released recently in which 12 Indian Institutes have secured their positions in the top 550 band.

Six Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and three central universities have secured their positions among the top 500 universities in QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, declared on September 23, 2021.

As per reports, this year 12 Indian Institutes have secured positions in the top 550 band in QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022.

In order to determine employability rankings of higher education institutions around the world. QS considers how the institutions are reputed among employers, whether these institutions are fostering high-achievers, how institutions are connected to companies and how recent graduates of the institution are attractive to employers.

QS have calculated the scores for GER 2022, considering the few indicators and weightings-

  • 30% of Employer reputation
  • 2 % alumni outcomes
  • 10% employer-student connections.
  • 25% partnership with employers per faculty
  • 10% graduate employment rate.

IIT Bombay stood at the top position amongst Indian institutions in the ranking. At the same time, three central universities namely, Delhi University, University of Calcutta, and the University of Mumbai have made it to the top 500 positions.

OP Jindal Global University, Sonepat, and BITS Pilani are among the private universities on the list. According to the detailed ranking along with the bands, the following instituted got their positions-

  • IIT Bombay: 101 – 110 to 55.5-57.2
  • IIT Delhi: 131 – 140 to  49.4-51.4
  • IIT Madras: 151 – 60 to 44.2-47.2
  • IIT Kharagpur: 201 – 50 to 31.8-38.3
  • Delhi University (DU): 201-250 to 31.8-38.3
  • IIT Kanpur:251: 300 to 27.4-31.6
  • BITS Pilani:251: 300 to 27.4-31.6
  • University of Mumbai: 251 – 300 to 27.4-31.6
  • IISc Bengaluru: 301 – 500 to 16-27.3
  • OP Jindal Global University:301 – 500 to 16-27.3
  • IIT Roorkee: 500 
  • University of Calcutta (CU): 13.1 -15.9

In the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, IIT Roorkee and OP Jindal Global University have been newly featured on the list. While central universities like Delhi University, Mumbai University, and Calcutta University have also made their presence on the list.
