This is the third time when the payment has been reimbursed late.

South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) school’s 2.5 lakh students are still waiting for ₹1100 to buy sweaters and uniforms for themselves. Winter has arrived but the amount for buying sweaters to cover and protect the children hasn’t. The financially weaker schools of SDMC like East and North civic body are still waiting for the reimbursement.

‘The files for the fund arrived late and the senior education officials are taking time to reimburse them’, said SDMC Mayor Sunita Kangra. She added the money will be transferred with the 10 days.

This is the third time when the payment has been reimbursed late.

South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), one of the five municipal bodies in the National Capital Territory of New Delhi. There are 22000 students in the capital’s SDMC with 1711 schools in the North, south and the East body.

The SDMC schools aim at offering quality education to the poor sections of the society.

Meanwhile, the SDMC leader, Kamaljeet Sehrawat on 29th November started a fully technologically equipped school bus for the students of Pochanpur Primary school. The bus is called ‘World of Wheels’ with 30 computers.
