The date for Tamil Nadu Aptitude Test in Architecture (TANATA) 2017 has been announced as August 12 by the conducting institution, Anna University, for filling up the B Arch seats which are yet to be filled after allotment through counselling.

Online registration for the exam have begun today and will continue till July 31. To make it to the vacant seats, the eligibility criteria includes  marks obtained in + 2 examination and marks scored in TANATA 2017.

The hall tickets will be available for downloading for the aspirants from August 8 and August 18 is scheduled for the declaration of the result. Mark sheets will be available for downloading on August 19.Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchi, Tirunelveli and Salem will be hosting the exam.

The university holds the exam to assess the aptitude of the applicant in architecture. This includes skill and aptitude in drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, mathematics and critical thinking ability.

How much do you need to crack TANATA 2017

To qualify, you must score 25% at the very least in the MCQ segment (30 of 120 marks) and in the drawing segment (20 of 80 marks). However, the overall qualifying marks can only be assess till after the correction is done, on the basis of post-exam statistics and at the discretion of Coordination Committee of TANATA 2017.
