“Set your mind on a definite goal and observe how quickly the world stands aside to let you pass.” ― Napoleon Hill

A law degree is one of the world’s oldest academic fields and is a highly respected credential which offers great career opportunities.

For many, studying law is to serve justice, it is however, a noble call that should be undoubtedly admirable. The law serves a multitude of implications. Four prominent one are the creation of values, the preservation of order, conflict settlement and the protection of freedoms and rights.

Law is not only for lawyers or is restricted in the courts, rather it is for all the people in the nation as it affects many facets of the society; ranging from the security of life to the freedom of business or foreign affairs. The law guides daily life of every person in a wide range of ways, and its numerous branches illustrate the same. For example, contract law governs products, services, or anything else of value, so it covers everything from purchasing a bus ticket to selling options on a future market. Property law describes the rights and obligations of persons over tangible properties, including property (i.e. real estate, such as land or buildings) and their other belongings (i.e. , personal property, such as clothing, books, cars, etc.) and intangible property, such as bank accounts and equity securities. Tort law provides for compensation in cases of injury done to someone or their property, whether in an automobile accident or character defamation. These are areas of civil law which deal with individual disputes. Offenses against a federal, state, or local community itself are subject to criminal law, which provides punishment for the offender by the Government.

A law graduate does have plenty of prospects to work with big firms, ministries and government agencies, to become a judge, or a public prosecutor, and so on.

Some of the qualities needed in this career are good communications skills, sound logical and analytical abilities, an eye for detail and determination. And if you’ve chosen to opt for this career already, you should start working on the above mentioned qualities to make it even better.

A quick glance at the advantages of studying law demonstrates why it remains one of the most desired after degrees for students from all over the world.

The benefits of 5-year programs are that you get an early introduction to law subjects (along with your graduation), offering you deeper insight into the central subjects of law, and also save a year of study relative to law after graduation.

Route 2: Pursuing Law After Graduation  (3-Year L.L.B Program)
