Gautam Buddha Nagar District Administration on Wednesday (May 8th) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 4 private institutions to improve quality of education in government schools in the regions of Noida and Greater Noida.

The four private institutions include Haldiram Education Society, Sopra Steria India Foundation, Dongkuk Steel India Private Ltd. (a Chinese Firm) and an NGO Healthy Aging India.

These four groups have chosen 7 government schools to provide end-to-end solution focusing on skill development. The skill development initiatives will include vocational courses in IT, record maintenance, bookkeeping, hospitality and other fine arts.

They will be also providing training to the teachers, introduce smart teaching aids, improve sanitation and condition of toilets and assist students in obtaining scholarships for higher education.

“We will specially focus on training teachers, who can pass on the knowledge to students. We will aid education and also help the students till they get jobs. We will initially spend about Rs. 50 lakh on all solutions needed in the school and spend about Rs. 1.5 crore over time, said Reeta Kapoor, Director of Haldiram Education Society.
