Admission process 2021 against first cut-off begins at Delhi University

Admissions against the first cut-off list began on October 4, 10 am onwards. Colleges have been asked to complete approvals for admission against the first cut-off by October 7.

Cut-off lists have been generated, and candidates can check the list on the official website. Based on the cut-off, students will now have to select courses and colleges they are eligible for at du.ac.in and fill options.

Delhi University (DU) offers admission to students in various UG, PG, and doctoral courses in different fields. Admissions can be made through the entrance exam (organized by the university) or the merit list of the qualifying examination.

Cut-off list for Science, Arts & Commerce & other courses will be released separately. The cut-off will be the minimum marks that candidates have to score in the entrance test & qualifying examination.

“Uploaded documents will need to be presented in the colleges at the time of admission for online and forensic verification. If any false attestation / falsified records are detected, the applicant will be debarred from the University or its colleges, and penal action will be taken against the applicant.”

Students will be able to apply for admission as per their choice of respective courses.

It will be organized in various rounds depending upon the availability of seats. Candidates will have to go through the GD & PI rounds to get admission.

Professor Rajeev Gupta, Chairman of the university’s Admissions Committee, advised students against applying within the first hour of commencement of the admission process and the last few hours when the admission process is going to end since that is the time when there is maximum traffic on the portal.

According to the guidelines, the candidate can choose only one program in a college during a particular cutoff, and selecting multiple programs and colleges at a specific cutoff is not permitted.
