The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Chairman Anil D Sahasrabudhe mentions the importance of Industry-Institute Interaction at a workshop a private engineering institute on Sunday. He asserted that the Council encouraged more Industry-Institute interaction and innovation in entrepreneurship.

He also recommended that internships and induction programs should be made mandatory for engineering students.

“As part of the effort to support technical education in the country, the council affected major changes and modifications in the AICTE-approval process handbook 2019,” he said.

The Handbook was responsible for inviting applications for approval from the new and existing technical institutions for conducting the technical program, also including management courses.

Regional Officer and Assistant Director, Eastern Regional Office, AICTE Dr. A V Salunkhe were also attending the workshop.
