The All India Institute of Medical Sciences has begun the Open Counseling for the vacant Postgraduate seats in the institute, for which 2450 candidates registered to attend and participate in the counseling session for MD/ MS/ MCh/DM, the 6-year courses, which consists of 60 vacant seats reserved for ST category candidates, and 244 reserved for SC category.
“The Institute has begun the process of filling up the following Postgraduate Seats for January 2019 session which remained vacant after 3rd round of counseling and other seats which fell vacant by way of surrender/ resignation etc. (after confirmation in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Counseling),” reads the official notice.
The Counseling is scheduled to be conducted at Jawaharlal Auditorium, AIIMS, New Delhi.
“The selected candidates are required to report for Medical Examination on 25-02-2019 at 9.30 A.M. in the respective AIIMS,” the notice reads further.
The Counseling is allowed for those candidates to attend, who scored at least 50 percentile in the AIIMS PG entrance exam.
The Registration for Counseling began on February 15 and continued to last till February 18.
“In case during the Open Counseling if any ST seats remain vacant (after calling all eligible candidates of ST category) then the seat will be transferred to SC category & vice-versa,” the notice read.
It was also informed that the seats which were reserved for SC/ST if went vacant, will be provided to the General category students.
The Counseling that is scheduled to be conducted, is held for filling vacant seats in AIIMS New Delhi, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur, Patna, Bhubaneswar, and Bhopal.
