CMYPD (Chief Minister’s Young Professionals for Development Programme) is a research and development program that is launched by the state government of Madhya Pradesh.

The CMYPD program aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the complexity of the governance and development processes through district and village-level immersion.

This program is applied across a wide range of institutions dealing with regulation, health, education, infrastructure, urban and rural development, and social security.

This is a contractual basis program with a time duration of one year. Includes vacancy of 58 candidates (52 for the post of research associates and 6 for the advisors).

Eligibility criteria for research associates

  • Graduation with 60% in any engineering or law college, or
  • Any post-graduation degree (MBA/PGDM) with a good academic record, or
  • MA (in economic, political science, statistics, sociology or social work, public policy, public administration, or master of social work or science).

Aspirants must have good communication skills, working knowledge in Hindi, and proficiency in English. The age limit is 21 to 32 years of age at the date of application submission.

Eligibility criteria for advisors

To enroll as an advisor, the registered candidate must meet all the eligibility criteria required for Research associates which include 6 years of work experience of research, field experience in analytical studies of policies or programs in the relevant field.

Candidates must be creative, out-of-the-box thinkers, innovative, perfect demonstrators, with leadership qualities, and have a good working aptitude.

Also, the applicant’s last gross wages should not be less than 50,000 per month. The age limit is 25 to 40 years of age at the date of application form submission.

About the selection procedure

For the selection procedure, a computer-based test with 100 MCQs will be conducted at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. A merit list will be generated by the test scores.

The top-ranking candidates will be selected and placed in each of the districts of Madhya Pradesh who will be guided by the advisors.

Specific projects may include improving the quality of education, improving child nutrition, working towards the development of rural areas, and other more specific projects.
