After committee meeting discussions, the Aligarh Muslim University has decided to conduct some alternate form of exams to the final year students. Earlier the University postponed the exams to July 1 due to pandemic. On May 30, the controller of exams issued this response to the deans and heads of Departments of AMU.

Though this decision is considered to be a better alternative, it is receiving various protests and oppositions from students and teachers. This scenario has already been witnessed in Delhi University. The protest pledges the reasons for having improper facilities and a lack of adequate tools for the exam.

Despite all this, the committee confirmed after a meeting held on Sunday that the alternate mode of exams shall be considered.  The meeting added to the note that this decision was taken in view of the coronavirus pandemic affecting various areas. Also, this will come into practice when the situation is not in control.

However, this is only a statement and the final decision will be taken only after considering and analyzing the present situation. The final year students shall be informed at least 20 days beforehand.

The university has further informed the students not to travel to university premises until further orders are issued on the official website.
