The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) opens the application process for the upcoming year. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has collaborated with the German Government to introduce some exclusive features. As per the official notice, this MOU enables the students to enroll in any Indian University to work on “cooperative research projects primarily in humanities and social science”.

Those who are interested can send their applications to [email protected] by August 4. They either have to send through college or university.

Researchers, university professors, postdoctoral and doctoral researchers can too apply for the scholarship. The applications shall be processed by UGC and DAAD only if a parallel application is submitted by Indian and German associations. Students from both the countries will be working on a similar project. This joint project will be funded for 2 years.

All the expenses for the projects, right from the travel visits and expenses will be funded. Scientists will be given a visit of 30 days per year, while the doctoral students are given extension for further two years. A maximum of 4 visits will be funded for participants from both countries.

In addition to these, the Indian students will be given a stipend amount of 89 euro per day for a 30-day visit during their stay in Germany.
