The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has invited application from graduates for recruitment to the post of Child Development Project Officer & allied Cadres under Social Welfare Department. Interested candidates can submit their application offline by filling the form available at the official website of the Commission. The last date of receiving duly filled up application form in the Commission’s office is fixed on September 9.
A total of 73 vacancies have been announced by the Commission.
Eligibility:
Educational Qualification: Applicants can either have a postgraduate degree or Diploma in Social Work/ Labour & Social Welfare/ Sociology/ Anthropology/ Criminology or graduation in child development/ home science/ nutrition or graduate having philosophy/ education with psychology, economics.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2019. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e upto 43 years and by 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e upto 41 years.
Application Fee:
For General Candidate it’s Rs.250, for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC it’s Rs.150. Candidates having BPL Certificate can apply free of cost but should produce their photocopy of certificate along with the Application Form).
Fees should be deposited only through Treasury Challan.

- Application form can be download from the APSC’s website www.apsc.nic.in .
- The last date of receiving duly filled up application is 9, September.
- The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022.
The final merit list will be decided from 337 marks.
The Commission would select candidates on the basis of their performance in written test and interview and would then recommend the candidates for appointment. The written test would include conventional essay writing and multiple choice objective type exam with questions from general knowledge and the optional subject.
