Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) chairman Anand Kishor declared the results of class 10th in a press conference on April 6th, 2019 at 12:30 pm. Sawan Raj Bharti of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya has topped the list with 97.2%.The top 4 rankers, who followed after the first are, Rounit Raj, Priyanshu Raj, Adarsh Ranjan and Aditya Roy. The top 3 rankers will receive a cash prize of 100,000, 75,000 and 50,0000 respectively.
The 10th results are little interesting this time as the top 17 rankers belong from the same school, which is Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya. Few questions are being raised on the school’s authority but the Principal of the school Rajeev Ranjan proclaimed, ” As the school is a government entity, we have no vested interest behind the results. The school is open for any kind of investigation.”
Sawan Raj Bharti, who belongs to Jamui, Bihar shared his emotions with the Hindustan Times during an interview. Sawan stated ” I used to study 15 hrs a day to achieve the goal. My father is a small farmer and mother is a housewife.” On being asked if he is on social media, he replied ” No I don’t use such things, my only focus during the exam period was to top the 10th board examination. I am looking forward to be an IAS officer in future and will attempt for civil services examination after completion of my intermediate course.”
According to the announcements earlier, strict security was imposed during the examination including police forces and imposition of 144 CrPC so as to avoid any kind of mis-happening during the examination. BSEB chairperson, Anand Kishor quoted ” A control room was put up alongwith a 24X7 whatsapp group for monitoring purposes. All the major officers including district nodal officers, DEOs and DMs were connected in the group.”

Scrutiny results applications are open from 9th April and will end by 18th April 2019.
