The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is expected to declare the results for Chartered Accountants final examination and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) tomorrow, on July 18 close to 2 pm. The result will be published on the official website of ICAI. The final level examination for CA aspirants was conducted in the month of May this year and CPT was carried out in June’17 across 372 centres.

About 1,32,000 candidates took the final examination this year, where a fade in the trend showed that only about 93,260 aspirants took up the CPT 2017. With a difference of about 40,000 candidates, the career field seems to be losing out on the interest of the potential candidates.

Follow the steps to know result:

Step 1: Go to the official website of ICAI at icaiexam.icai.org.

Step 2: Go ahead to the links with heads ‘CA Finals, CPT Result 2017’

Step 3: Enter  your registration number or PIN number along with their roll number into the fields provided on the newly opened page.

 

Step 4: The result will then be displayed. you may take a printout for reference.

In accordance with the suitability for everyone, even those who are inaccessible to the internet, the results will also be made available via SMS facility. To use this facility to get results, follow these steps:

I.  For getting results for final examination, type CAFNL(space)XXXXXX (Where XXXXXX is the six digit Final examination roll number of the candidate) e.g. CAFNL 000128 and send the messages at 58888. This number is common for all operators.

II. For Common Proficiency Test (CPT) result, type CACPT(space)XXXXXX(where XXXXXX is the six digit Common Proficiency Test roll number of the candidate) e.g. CACPT 000171 and send the message at 58888. This number is common for all operators.

Along with the result, the institute will be releasing an all India merit list on its website mentioned above. To secure a name slot in the merit list, candidate must score a minimum of 55% and must rank in the top 50 all over India.
