The declaration of CA Final result by the ICAI on July 18 revealed five from Jaipur to secure ranks in the Top 50. Among these candidates, Riya Gupta managed to hold AIR28. The rest to follow are Deepak Kumar (AIR31), Dhanesh Agarwal (AIR32), Sakshi Jain (AIR34) and Swati Khandelwal (AIR45).

Topper Riya Gupta says that to make it through the Finals, one must complete the course for a minimum of 3 times along with doing articleship for three whole years. She says, “I was at KPMG in Delhi and had a break for six months. I the, focused on my concepts.”

AIR31 Deepak says, “I started my preparation only a year and half ago. I was weak at theory, so I relied o practicals to connect with it and studied. My target was to do the course at least six times, but i could only do it thrice. I was able to complete eight subjects in my determined time period. First six months, I worked on completing my course. Post that, all time was devoted to revision. While my six months break from articleship, I used to study for seventeen hours a day.”

In the previous year and the one before it, it seemed like the field was loosing to create a demand, but, accredited to demonetization and the recently applied GST regime, the value of the course is reinstated. This so happened because the new policies and laws gave birth to terrible confusion among the citizens. Unclear information on the topics does not help either. Hence, everyone, currently, is rooting for Chartered Accountants, making the field a sought-after career option, again. For a long while, the demand is only expected to grow.
