CAT 2018 Results are out, and we have our Toppers List ready. The Toppers are who have proved their mettle with their exceptional performance in the MBA entrance exam. These students are likely to secure admissions in the country’s topmost B-schools including IIMs. A total of 2.09 lakh candidates appeared for the MBA entrance exam.

Here is the list of CAT 2018 toppers who scored outstanding percentile in the top national-level management exam. These students are expected to receive calls from top IIMs/ B-Schools across the country. This year, all the CAT toppers are from the tech background. Interestingly, all the CAT 2018 toppers are male. On the other hand, out of 32 top scorers of CAT 2018, 30 are from engineering and technology background.

The List for 100 percentile holders

1 Rounak Majumdar

The overall and sectional percentile of Rounak Majumdar in CAT 2018:

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: 99.95

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning: 99.98

Quantitative Aptitude: 100

Overall: 100

The 22-year-old mechanical engineer is presently working with a financial allied company in Gurugram and wants to pursue a career in finance. His preference will be either IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore or IIM Kolkata, “All depends on how I will fare in the interview,” he said.

“Learning from the mistakes I made in my first attempt, this time I kept my preparation straight forward. I started preparing for the CAT in August 2018. It was clear in my mind that time management and CAT related skills will hold the key.”

“I would ask future aspirants to not hype CAT up in their minds, and keep working towards improving themselves personally,” he said as an adviser to the candidates aspiring to crack CAT.

2. Amit Bikram

The overall scaled score of Amit Bikram in CAT 2018 is 235.18 and sectional scores are as follows:

Overall- 235. 18 (100 Percentile)

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension – 79.59

Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation – 60.51

Quantitative Aptitude -95.07

When asked which institutes has he applied for, he replied: “I am targeting the top three IIM’s A, B, C”.

When asked for a piece of advice for the fellow CAT aspirants, he said: “I would like to say that every student should know his/her own strengths and weaknesses and prepare to keep that in mind, rather than trying to follow someone else’s strategies”.

3. Jagesh Golwala

The Sectional scores of Jagesh Golwala are as follows:

Verbal Ability Reading Comprehension: 99.23

Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning: 99.99

Quantitative Aptitude: 100

Overall: 100

When asked which institutes has he applied for, he replied: “I am targeting IIM A, B, C, L, K, FMS, MDI, XLRI, and SP Jain. My goal is to get good placements in the domain of Consulting and Finance.”

When asked for a piece of advice for the fellow CAT aspirants, he said: “My message to CAT aspirants is “process of appearing in the CAT exam is not going to be easy, there will be good days and there will be bad days. Be confident with your preparation strategy and focus on the mock tests.” It is important to analyze and learn from your mistakes to that the next time you sit for the mock, you do not end up with the same mistakes. This is the only way to improve your score in the exam”.
