The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board Examination 2019 are scheduled to be conducted from February 15, 2019. Over 28 lakh students are expected to appear for the Board Examination for both Classes X and XII. With Board Examination knocking on the door, the CBSE has released an official notification of the new rules that are formulated this year.

Apart from the new rules, few security measures are also taken to prevent the exam from any unfair means and malpractices. Keeping that in mind, CBSE has also instituted a three-tier security check to ensure no instance of paper leaks. An official notification regarding security measures is yet to be released.

The new rules that are laid down by the CBSE are:

  • School Uniform and Admit cards compulsory for regular students

The Board has strictly made school uniforms and admit cards compulsory for the regular students to sit before an exam.

  • Parent Signature mandatory on CBSE Board Admit Cards

This year, CBSE has introduced parent signatures on the admit cards along with student’s and principal’s signature. A student with unsigned admit card would not be allowed to enter the examination center.

  • No Entrance allowed after 10:00 A.M.

This year, it has been announced that no student will be allowed at the examination center after 10:00 a.m. Hence, all students are advised to reach the examination center at least 15 minutes earlier.

  • Things that are not allowed at the examination center

Students are not allowed to carry written material, wallets, mobile phones or smart watches. The students are only required to carry pens and basic stationery in a transparent pouch, and their school identity cards and CBSE Board Exam Admit Cards
