Recently, there have been reports on the possibility of the advancement of Class X and XII CBSE Board examination due to various reasons, but finally, the Board has clarified that no such decision will be taken without consulting various stakeholders, including affiliated schools.

Quite a number of schools have been raising queries on the Board’s plan of conducting the respective examinations in the month of February and not in March.

“The purpose is to have more time for evaluation and bring quality. However, there will be no decision on the advancing the exams without taking stakeholders on board,” a senior CBSE official said. “However, there will be no decision on the advancing the exams without taking stakeholders on board,” the official continued.

The faulty evaluation process led to the emergence of the idea. The issue grew big enough for the Board to set up two committees to analyse the process and seggest measure to rectify the loopholes. “The idea will be studied taking into consideration various processes and preparations in the administration of exams,” the official added.

CBSE held a meeting last week with the Union Human Resources Development Ministry for the purpose of discussing the discrepancies being reported in the marks achieved by Class 12 students and the score reflected in the marksheet issued by the Board. The meeting was attended by School Education Secretary Anil Swarup and CBSE chairman R K Chaturvedi.
