CBSE class 12 results 2017

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) clarified on June 19 that it has recieved requests for verification of marks from only 2.47 percent students this year. This clarification came after a news report which alleged that CBSE adopted “faulty evaluation process” in class XII exams and led to increase in the number of verification requests by the students.

CBSE says the percentage of students applying for the verification of marks has been 2-3% since the past 4 years. “There is no unprecedented increase in the number of applications for verification as stated in some news reports,”

CBSE assures that the answer sheets were evaluated by much intellectual and experienced teachers from all centres.

The board also said that it had done away with the process of re-evaluation on the basis of a decision taken by its examination committee and the Governing Body in June 2016. As per the data, there was no change in marks after re-evaluation in more than 99.98 per cent cases.

A total of 10,98,891 students appeared for the Class XII CBSE board examination this year. The result was announced on May 28.
