In this pandemic, in a different way along with the entire fraternity of CBSE schools,  Central Board of Secondary Education will celebrate Teachers Day 2020. The Board has requested everyone to acknowledge the precious contribution of the teachers and their community and use different hashtags #OurTeachersOurHeros and #TeachersFromIndia.

Through their official twitter handle Board  has urged all students, schools, and parents to use these hashtags. On September 4 and 5, 2020, for giving a befitting recognition to the mentors, with the help of these hashtags messages/ selfies/ sketches/ anecdotes/ positive experiences needs to be shared  on social media platforms.

Across the country to salute the mentors and recipients of CBSE Teacher Awards, CBSE have also come together . The entire fraternity of the affiliated schools of CBSE including 250 schools across the world has joined together to celebrate the Teachers Day.

To recognize the efforts of teachers throughout the year, every year National Teachers Award is organized. To select the award recipients for the year 2020, an independent jury is constituted by the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy .

Through Video Conferencing, this year by the Jury from 36 states and UTs, around 153 teachers were shortlisted. This year, Ms. Jyoti Arora, one teacher of North West Delhi was chosen for the award. Ms. Jyoti Arora is the Principal of Mount Abu Public School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Meanwhile, from Delhi a total of 12 teachers have been selected for CBSE Teachers Awards. Manish Sisodia who is the Delhi Education Minister congratulated the team.
