With the board examinations nearing, students from the nation over are shelling the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) toll-free helpline with a large group of inquiries. These inquiries are about exam-related worry, as well as about individual issues, for example, separations, said media reports.

Students are looking for exhortation on individual issues like memory misfortune and abuse by their folks.

“I had a separation as of late and I don’t have a craving for learning by any means. I can’t consider anything other than her,” a Class 12 student was cited as saying by a Delhi-based advisor.

The CBSE in January had said that it would give mental directing to students at the season of readiness and in addition amid the examinations to conquer exam related pressure.

“This year 91 principals, prepared instructors from CBSE-partnered government and tuition-based schools, (a) couple of analysts and exceptional teachers will take an interest in tele-advising and address exam related mental issues of the students. 71 of them are accessible in India while 20 are found abroad,” cited a CBSE explanation as saying.

On 23 February, India Today had revealed that an aggregate of 5,600 calls was made by the students to the helpline in only 21 days. The maximum number of calls were from Uttar Pradesh, trailed by Madhya Pradesh.

The CBSE’s toll-free helpline number is 1800 11 8004 where the students are welcomed by an administrator and after that later associated with the advisors.

In January, CBSE had issued the board examination dates for class 10 and class 12. According to the timetable, the exams will start from 5 March.

More than 16 lakh students will sit for class 10 exams while 11.86 lakh students will show up for class 12 exams.

More than 18,000 schools the nation over are affiliated to the CBSE.
