AAP government on Wednesday rebuked the accusations outspoken by BJP on the ‘Poor’ performance of government schools after the AAP government is holding the power in education sector.

The government reiterated in a statement that “In class XI there has been a significant improvement over last year’s performance. While 71% students of this class passed their examination in 2017-18 it has improved to 80% in 2018-19.” It also added “The pass percentage in class XI has touched 80% for the first time in 8 years.

The percentage in the past years were as follows:

2014-15 (63%), 2015-16 (72%), 2017-18 (71%), 2018-19 (80%)

While for class lX the pass percentage remained at 57.8% in 2018-19 that was 57.5% in year 2017-18.

The government added to its statement ” There has been a slow but consistent improvement in the pass percentage over the last four years in class Xl due to programmes and initiatives like ‘Chunauti’ and ‘Mission Buniyaad,’ which are strengthening the foundation learning skills of the students by the time they reach class lX.
