Sreedhanya Suresh Achieved 410th Rank in UPSC Examination, 2018

Ms. Sreedhanya Suresh is receiving accolades from prestige personalities on achieving the clearance in the civil services examination held by UPSC in 2018. Ms. Sreedhanya, who belongs to Scheduled Tribes (Kurichya community) and lives in Wayanad Kerela, has ranked at the position of 410 and became the first lady from her community to clear the civil services examination in the state.

The 26-year-old girl graduated from Devagiri St. Joseph’s College, Kozhikode with B.Sc. Degree in Zoology and Post Graduated in Applied Zoology from the University of Calicut.

Sreedhanya was overwhelmed by the result and applauds, stated ” I wanted to join the services after I met the previous sub collector of Wayanad Samba Siva Rao. I was working on a project under him. There are other IAS, who helped me in my journey by finding me, helping me in interviews and preparations. But my backbone of the success has been the fortune IAS Academy in Thiruvananthapuram.”

Though, the result of the 2018 UPSC examination declared Kanishak Kataria, Bombay IITian on the top of the list and Shruthi Jayant Desmukh on rank 5th amongst the first in the female candidates.

Ms. Suresh’s achievement is inspiring other students of her community and her result is an evidence that hard work is recognised sooner or later!
