Council of Science and Industrial Research (CSIR), yesterday (3rd April, 2019) declared the result of UGC NET examination held last year in December, 2018. The candidates can check their results on the official website of CSIR.

The results can be checked in 3 simple steps:

  1. Go to the official website of CSIR
  2. Click on- ‘Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam Dec 2018 Result’ link
  3. The results will be mentioned in the open PDF File
  4. Download the PDF File for later need.

The CSIR has also generated a list of the students alongwith their ranking status, who have qualified the examination. 1969 candidates have qualified the JRF (NET) out of them 67 candidates have only qualified for JRF, 1500 students are selected for JRF NET (UGC) and 3989 for Lectureship. The fellowship will be in continuation from July 1, 2019.

“The candidates with following roll numbers have been declared successful in the category under, which their roll numbers appear subject to the condition of fulfilling their all notified eligibility criteria for the test,” said the CSIR result notification.

The CSIR conducted the examination in 27 cities across the country on 16th December, 2018. The answer key of the examination was out on January 16, 2019.

About the Examination:

NET stands for National Eligibility Test, which is conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA) and CSIR purposely to test the eligibility of the candidates whether they are at par to apply for lectureship at higher education colleges or Universities of India.

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is a fellowship awarded to the students, who qualify the NET examination, which is held twice a year in the months of June and December.
