CSIR-UGC NET admit cards released

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has announced the CSIR UGC NET 2019 exam, scheduled to be conducted on June 16, 2019, in offline mode. The Application process for the exam in June will commence from February 25, 2019, and will continue to last till March 18, 2019, at the official website, for which the link is provided below:

The Exam will be conducted in over 27 cities across the country. The Pattern of the question paper involves questions asked from 5 disciplines namely:

  • Life Sciences
  • Physical Sciences
  • Chemical Sciences
  • Mathematical Sciences
  • Earth Sciences

The Life Sciences and Physical Sciences exam will be conducted during the morning shift, whereas Chemical, Mathematical, and Earth Sciences Exam will be conducted in the afternoon shift.

The candidates will be given 3 hours each for both the sessions of examination. The Exam holds questions for a total of 200 marks multiple choice questions. The Exam fees charged will be ₹1000 for General category and ₹500 for OBC and ₹250 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

The CSIR UGC NET exam is held for offering positions to candidates such as of a Lecturer and provides eligibility to avail Junior Research Fellowship in Faculty of Science. If the candidate qualifies Lecturer (NET) exam will be eligible to apply for lecturer positions in Colleges and Universities. While those candidates who qualify Fellowship (NET) exam will be awarded the Junior Research Fellowship, effective from January 1, 2020, and will last for 2 years, after which it will make the candidates eligible to apply for a fellowship at CSIR.
