DU colleges reopens for students of final year batch

After several months, the wait of students finally comes to end as DU colleges are reopened from September 15, and classes were held in offline mode.

Both students and teachers were seen excited for the resuming of physical classes. Due to the pandemic crisis, studies were badly affected. For the students as well as teachers it became a bit hectic to continue the online classes.

After the second wave of COVID-19, all the colleges of Delhi University have finally reopened as the situation has begun to normalize. There’s a ray of hope for both the students and the teachers after such a delay.

DU, earlier this year, announced the decision to resume offline classes for final-year science students, and allow them to use the laboratories and attend physical classes. But this was not possible because of the arrival of the COVID-19 second wave in April 2021.

“Taking note of the number of COVID-19 cases, it has been decided that classes and practical/project work in respect of PG and UG Programme students in Science Courses in University and its Colleges shall be conducted in physical mode with effect from 16th September observing necessary protocol to prevent the spread of COVID virus,” the notice from the DU registrar reads

This order has allowed the final-year students to return for classes as first and second students have not begun their respective academic sessions yet.

Several states have reopened the schools and colleges in their areas to resume offline classes for the students, nearly 1.5 years of them attending online classes due to the COVID pandemic. Delhi University is expected to take a similar decision for the students studying in all its affiliated colleges.

The University of Delhi, informally known as Delhi University (DU), is a collegiate public central university located in New Delhi, India. The university has 16 faculties and 86 departments distributed across its North and South campuses. It has 77 affiliated colleges and five other institutes. The Vice President of India serves as the University chancellor.
